War is overdue, The time has come for you
Sacred Covenant: Advanced;
Kaelis has the ability to grant the wishes of others. However this comes at a steep price. Most of the time, in order to fuel his magic, he needs the life force of another. If he is not presented with a life, he must use his own, which weakens him rather badly for quite a long time. However, he doesn't exactly like taking the lives of others, but he is occasionally forced to.
Kaelis has a very strong magical ability, and there are very few limits to what he is capable of doing, however, it still comes at the same cost as the above power. He needs the lives of living beings in order to be worth much of anything.
Aim, shoot, kill your leaders
Kaelis doesn't have anything on his person of any value to anyone but himself. He doesn't have keys, he has no need for a wallet, he doesn't carry a phone, and he's not allowed to carry any weapons.
Warped and bewitched, Time to erase whatever they say
Kaelis is a bit shorter than most of the males of his kind, standing only at about 5'8" or so. He has a rather lean, but athletic build to him, and can move very swiftly if he has to. His skin is a darker color, tan, but slightly ashen as well, which is typical of his race. He has long, feathery, raven black hair. His eyes are a bright, crimson red, that glow brightly when using magic, or upset, or afflicted by any sort of strong emotion. As for his clothing, he prefers not to wear anything too revealing, being as he is quite modest. He also prefers to wear dark colors, but will really wear anything.
Oppose and disagree, Destroy demonocracy
Kaelis is a fairly calm and quiet individual. He prefers not to cause harm or chaos, but he really has to do whatever he is asked under a contract. He can be rather observant from time to time, but he has horrible people skills. He is very modest and shy, and prefers to sit in awkward silences, as he doesn't know how to break them. He is also quite oblivious to what others think and feel about him, and knows very little about how people work. He does not really have the ability to read body language either. To many people, Kaelis can be considered quite stupid. However he is very obedient and will always carry out his tasks, no matter how gruesome.
These people are torn, Wild and bereft, Assassin is born
Kaelis was born the youngest prince of one of the 8 royal families of Djinn. Being the youngest, he never really had very many responsibilities. He had no social requirements, and was often by himself. On top of that, his magic worked differently than the rest of his family, draining him until he was utterly useless, which caused him to not use it as often as everyone wanted him to.
As he got older, he was put in charge of one of the Djinn's sacred books. These books carried a lot of importance in Djinn culture, said to be written words of the gods themselves. They contain all sorts of spells and charms, and some deeper, darker magic. Kaelis spent the majority of his time studying the book, and eventually went on a pilgrimage with the others chosen to watch the other books. They were all allowed a year with each book, learning the secrets and magic that each book provided.
Of course, taking this journey meant that he would have to become a priest for his family, which he did not exactly agree with, but he wasn't given much of a choice, and went on the journey anyways. However, because he detested the idea of being shunned by his family, he decided to use one of the books to find a way out of it. This did not go as he had planned, and he unintentionally bound himself to the book. Once he had learned of his mistake, he decided the book was no longer safe in his realm, and that no one but himself should be allowed to use it. Therefore, he fled his world.
However, fleeing wasn't all that great for him either.
The book itself pulled him inside of it, trapping him inside of it as soon as they crossed into the human realm. It was a few years before someone stumbled across the book.
That was when he met Sven.
It was a night like any other he supposed. However, he suddenly went from the cold, dark sleep he was used to, into the bright, moonlit night. He realized rather quickly that there was someone holding the book, turning it over and over in his hands, studying it. But it wasn't like he could read it, right? Of course, the man had eventually noticed the dark, and oddly dressed being before him. In some sort of shock or something, the man dropped the book, and Kaelis found himself being forced back into it. Once it was picked up again, he was once more set free.
The two eventually struck up a bargain of sorts, which at the time had been innocent enough. Sven would carry the book, in return, Kaelis would extend his life, and occasionally perform some sort of minor miracle, using his magic to grant a wish here or there. At first, it worked rather well, but eventually, he became less and less free to do what he wished. Gradually he became less of a partner, and more of a slave.
Now, Kaelis is forced to serve the man for whatever ends he sees fit, be it fortune, fame, or just a selfish whim.
